Socialist Presidential Candidate, Claudia De la Cruz, Rips Biden’s State of the Union Speech
The problem with Joe Biden is not that “he’s too old.” He is going to lose his re-election bid because millions of people are disgusted that he is a partner with Netanyahu in Israel's mass killing spree in Gaza. Biden ordered the shipment of 21,000 bombs and missiles to Israel so that they could be dropped on civilians in Gaza. Now he is crying crocodile tears for his victims in Gaza and promising “humanitarian aid” after those same bombs destroyed their homes and hospitals. What hypocrisy! What cynicism!
The Biden White House is a complete and utter failure. When Biden took office in 2021 the Democrats controlled the White House, Senate and the House of Representatives. It was precisely then that women lost the right to abortion. They could have legalized abortion nationwide through new legislation, but the Democrats did absolutely nothing to preserve abortion rights when the ultra-right wing religious zealots on the Supreme Court decided that they and not women should control the bodies of women.
Childhood poverty skyrocketed after Biden ended subsidies to working class families.
Food prices skyrocketed too and they are still sky-high. Biden could freeze and order a rollback on food prices but he is an errand boy for agribusiness capitalists.
Biden ended the moratorium on evictions at a time when landlords and developers are making housing completely unaffordable for tens of millions of families. Biden favors landlords and developers over working families.
The real state of the union for 160 million people in the United States is they are still living in or very near to poverty three years after Biden took office.
The political elites that run the Democratic Party are so profoundly out of touch that they think having Joe Biden talk about how great the economy is will be a winning strategy against Donald Trump. And then they complain at cocktail parties and in New York Times columns about how irrational “average voters” are being about the matter.
Biden and Trump are part of the problem. Neither offers a real solution for working class people in this country. Both are the servants of Wall Street banks. They are in the pocket of the disgusting capitalists in the Military Industrial Complex who profit from a system that is addicted to endless war. Trump and Biden have more in common with each other than what separates them. Our campaign is fighting for working class families in the United States. We would cut the military budget by 90%. We would end all aid to Israel. Instead of begging the capitalists in the pharmaceutical industry to lower the price of medicine we would seize these companies, make them public utilities and provide free health care for all people which is an easily achievable goal.
