HOW  TO  PLAN  OUTREACH

Flyering

People needed: 1+ volunteers

Best for: Reaching a high volume of new people, spreading our message, bringing a group together

Materials needed:

  • Clipboards

  • Pens

  • Sign-up sheets

  • Campaign half-sheets (download here)

Instructions: Get a rough headcount of volunteers to make sure you have enough supplies. Print the outreach materials in advance.

Bring together volunteers at a central meeting location. Do introductions and explain the purpose of outreach if there are new people present. Volunteers should be prepared to speak on campaign platform and answer how people can learn more and get involved. Fill the sign-up sheets!

Divide volunteers into pairs or groups, divide up the materials, assign flyering locations, and share the time and location for wrapping up.

Follow-up: Collect sign-up sheets and input contacts in a spreadsheet to share with info@votesocialist2024.com. Make sure to follow up quickly with any promising new volunteers. Re-engage volunteers within 48 hours, even if just on the phone.
